The truffle season is short but sweet and this black-as-night crown jewel of the winter harvests will be presented during the 40-day-long Canberra and Capital Region Truffle Festival. The festival launches on the longest night of the year, the Winter Solstice, and features mouth-watering events such as truffle-themed degustations and dining experiences, cooking classes and demonstrations. For those with a keen nose, there are also truffle hunts at local truffieres who grow the black Perigord truffle. The Festival officially launches on 21^st June and will run until 31^st July.
