In celebration of the return of Market Week and Spring Graze, Markets of Melbourne are hosting their inaugural food issues forum discussing the highly topical polemic “Can we afford not to eat local?” held at the State Library of Victoria. The will focus on the importance of supporting local growers and the importance of local economies. Moderated by The Age Epicure’s Richard Cornish, the forum will hear discussions from industry leaders including Matt Wilkinson from Pope Joan, Claude Baxter formerly of South Melbourne Market, Brad Fankhauser from Fruit Growers Victoria among others.
